Suggest a better description1) Place the broccoli rabe in a large pot, add 2 quarts cold water and bring to a boil. Add 1 tsp salt and simmer, covered, until just tender, 5 to 8 min. Reserve 1 cup cooking liquid, then drain the broccoli rabe.
2) Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, onion, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper and cook, covered, stirring occasionally, until the onion is tender, 5-6 min.
3) Add the tomatoes and beans and cook until heated through, about 2 min. Add the shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally, until opaque throughout, 4-5 min; stir in the parsley and red pepper.
4) Add the reserved cooking liquid and the broccoli rabe to the shrimp mixture and stir to combine. Serve with crusty bread, if desired
