Ranch Humus

1 review, 5 star(s). 100% would make again

Ready in 10 minutes

This is a simple recipe that even a child can make, with the supervision of course when using the blender/food processor.

1 can chickpeas; 15 oz
2 tablespoons (heaping) of jarred minced garlic or 2-3 cloves
2 tablespoons (heaping) or 1 packet of dry ranch dressing
0.25 cup Olive oil or Corn oil
1 salt/ pepper; to taste

Original recipe makes 4 Servings

Drain and rinse the chickpeas

Place the rinsed chickpeas, ranch dressing and garlic in the food processor, pulse or continuous speed until ingredients become paste, about 5 seconds.

Slowly add the olive oil to the mixture allowing the food processor to mix everything together.

Remove mixture from the food processor to a bowl of choice and enjoy with crackers, nachos, pretzels...

For more than 4 people double/triple... as needed.

Any left overs can be refrigerated in an are tight container for up to a week.

I made this on a whim and took it to work, my co-workers tore it up!

If mixture is to stiff when brought from the refrigerator, add a little more olive oil untill you get the consistancy you want, or if you are not in a hurry, allow to set out at room temperature for about 1 hour. [I posted this recipe.]
