Place all ingredients (except lemon juice) in large saucepan and bring to boil, lower heat and simmer for 25 minutes, strain through fine sieve, add lemon juice and leave to cool.
Store in refrigerator, when required add 1/4 to 1/2 glass of cordial to glass and top up with with sparking/soda water.
