"Made it twice with blueberries instead of strawberries and loved it! However the second time I grabbed the quick cook oats instead of the old fashioned and didn't like that as well. 1/4 cup sugar with the rhubarb and berries was good for us!"
Combine rhubarb, strawberries and sugar. Place in a 9-inch square baking dish. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar and butter, mixing until crumbly. Sprinkle crumb mixture over rhubarb and strawberries. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 F.) about 40 minutes or until rhubarb is tender. *NOTE: If fresh strawberries are used, increase sugar to 1/2 cup. mamadons 3 months agoThe crumble didn't... We used regular oats and everything just spread out over the top and was soft.

jillclarksonmargerison 3 years agoI made my version with mixed berries instead of just strawberries. I'm not normally picky about my crisp but this was overly runny. And I agree- wasn't crispy enough. More like a cobbler not a crisp.
Trinearmstrong 3 years agoMy children loved it. But I also found that it was too runny and not crispy enough.
