Incredible baby back ribs with sweet & spicy sauce.
Rub
Mix sugar and honey and rub on the ribs, and allow to marinate 30 minutes.
Grill
Heat grill to 325 degrees.
Fill a disposable aluminum roasting pan with one inch of apple juice, and add ribs.
Cover with foil and grill for about 1 hour, or until tender when poked with a toothpick.
Replenish apple juice as needed, which will tenderize the ribs. Do not allow the pan to become dry.
Glaze
While the ribs cook, combine dry ingredients together with 1/2 cup salt and mix well.
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over low heat.
Do not boil; the glaze is ready when the molasses dissolves.
Add honey and simmer on medium until sauce thickens into a glaze.
Return to grill
Transfer ribs to a medium-hot grill.
Brush with some glaze and grill a few minutes on each side.
Cut into pieces and serve with remaining glaze drizzled on top or serve on the side for dipping.
Add hot sauce if you like your ribs spicy. Otherwise, ribs will be medium hot and sweet.
