Preheat oven to 450-deg with a baking sheet inside.
Toss potatoes with half the butter and one clove garlic, then season with salt. Transfer potatoes to preheated baking sheet and roast 15 minutes.
Toss green beans with remaining butter and garlic, season with salt, and add to the baking sheet with the potatoes. Roast 10 minutes more. Toss potatoes and green beans together before serving.
