Coffee flavored cake or cupcakes
Cream butter and sugar in one container. Combine baking soda and hot water in a another container. Sift all remaining dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Combine all ingredients together (batter will be thin) into the large mixing bowl and put in greased 9 x 13 – inch pan or cup cakes (about 30). Bake in 350* oven for 35 minutes (cake) or 15 to 20 minutes (cup cakes).
If you are a coffee lover use extra strong coffee for a greater coffee flavor.
You don't have to sift the dry ingredients together before mixing but it makes the recipe tastes better and is a smoother batter if you do.
