Ready in 10 minutes

Great salsa. Very similar to the one found at Chili''s restaurant.

1 can tomatoes and green chilies
1 can whole canned tomatoes; (plus the juice)
4 teaspoons jalapenos; (canned, diced, not pickled)
1/4 cup yellow onion; (diced)
1/2 tsp garlic salt; (up to 3/4)
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon Sugar
1/2 lime
1/2 habanero; diced (optional)

Original recipe makes 32

In food processor place jalapenos and onions.

Process for just a few seconds.

Add both cans of tomatoes, salt, sugar, and cumin.

Process all ingredients until well blended but do not puree.

Place in covered container and chill.

A couple of hours of chilling will help blend and enrich the flavor.

The recipe makes a great consistancy for salsa, and its quite refreshing as is, however I went back and doubled the cumin, added a Tbsp chili powder, 2 Tbsp vinegar, and a Tbsp of pepper and a pinch of cayenne. The flavor layered great and it was a crowd pleaser!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
