Like most of my recipes, this is a combination of several others because I couldn't find one that was exactly what I wanted.
Put all fruit into a pitcher and add rum and sugar. Refrigerate for 1 or 2 hours, then crush fruit slightly so that juice comes out. Add wine and orange juice. The flavors intensify if allowed to chill overnight before serving. Add lemon-lime soda right before serving (otherwise it will go flat).
ees55 1y agoReally good! The perfect amount of alcohol, fruit and sweetness. I used merlot and dark rum, plus the juice of an extra orange. Making it the day before was definitely a good idea.
val_shumate 1y agoI love this sangria!! I've made it a few times and everybody raves about it each time. For the rum I use Bacardi limon and it adds just a lil more citrus kick. And for the wine I use a Shiraz/merlot blend. It's always perfection! The next time I make this I'm gonna try a white version w a Pinot Grigio:)
MauraSpeckt 2y agoGold stars for this one! We were delighted with the tasting of this wonderful concoction, I was enjoying compliments all evening! The lemon lime soda was really the difference here, making it the hit of the evening. A+. I will be making this often!
