This is a great family night supper. it's super fast, feeds A LOT of people, freezes very well and costs only about $10 or less to make. It also makes for a great crockpot dinner.
1. Cook meat and onion together in a large dutch oven or soup pot until meat is browned. Drain.
2. Stir ranch-style dressing mix and taco seasoning mix into meat. Mix well.
3. Add remaining canned ingredients with juices from all. Stir to mix.
4. Add water and stir well.
5. When soup comes to a boil, cover and reduce heat to a simmer for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. If mixture is too thick, add additional water).
6. Garnish each serving with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and sliced green onions, if desired. 7. Serve with tortilla chips or mexican cornbread (optional).
This can also a great party-family crockpot dish. Just brown meat and onion, then add to crockpot with all the other ingredients on high for one hour, then reduce to warm.
