PREP TIME: 5 min TOTAL TIME: 20 min
Brown meat in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat; drain. Add onions and peppers; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally.
Stir in water, barbeque sauce and Velveeta; cook 2 min. or until Velveeta is melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently.
Meanwhile, toast the buns. Fill buns evenly with the meat mixture.
VARIATION: Saucy BBQ Sloppy Janes
Substitute lean ground turkey for the ground beef.
After the meat mixture has cooled completely you can place it in resealable freezer plastic bags or freezer containers. The mixture can be frozen for up to 3 months. When ready to serve, just reheat meat mixture in a saucepan on medium heat, stirring frequently.
