Breakfast Treat


1 pound Sausage, pork
1 cup Cheddar cheese; shredded
2 slices Bread; cubed
6 Eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper

Original recipe makes 10



Brown sausage and drain

Toss with cheese and bread

Place in shallow baking dish (7x11)

Beat eggs, milk, salt, and pepper

Pour over sausage mixture

Refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hours

Bake at 350 about 45 minutes

Very good, but a little too salty for my taste. Trying it again for Christmas brunch and going to omit salt (the sausage is salty enough) and add dry mustard.

Good basic recipe. I make it all the time. Easy to adapt. Add 1 Tbsp ground mustard and go light on the salt.
