A holiday favorite at the Hahn house - impossible to make too many of these!
Combine ingredients in a large bowl. Grease hands and mix by hand until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated. Roll into 1-inch balls and place one inch apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-23 minutes or until golden brown.
Note: This works best if you let the cheese and sausage come to room temperature before combining. These freeze well - thaw to room temperature or re-heat briefly in oven or microwave before serving. The recipe came from Jean Tallas, a friend and co-worker of my mother-in-law, LaVelle (Henrichsen) Hahn. Her co-workers gave me a recipe shower before Brian and I got married, and this was among the wonderful offerings.
