Replaced half the Rice Krispies with Cocoa Krispies and replaced half the peanut butter with Nutella. The results...delicious chocolate euphoria!

Classic. Delicious. I usually double the top layer of chips...

My nieces absolutely loved these scotcheroos! They were quick, easy and great tasting, albeit extremely rich. Next time I would double up on the chocolate-butterscotch layer. In my opinion, it would be a better chocolate to rice krispies ratio. For the best texture, do not press the cereal layer too firmly. Leave the cereal mixture with hills and valleys and let the melted chocolate layer fill in the gaps.

Could use more peanut butter up to 1/2 c.
