Sesame Scallops

Salmon can be substituted for the scallops in this dish and is also delicious!


1 1/2 tablespoon Peanut oil
1 1/2 teaspoon Sesame oil
1 tablespoon Soy sauce
1 tablespoon Thai fish sauce
1 tablespoon Lime juice
1 teaspoon Hot chili paste
1/8 teaspoon Ginger
3 tablespoons sesame seeds; Toasted
350 grams Large Scallops

Original recipe makes 2 Servings



Mix first seven ingredients together, blending well. Add scallops and marinate them for 10-15 minutes. Place scallops on broiler pan and sprinkle with half of the sesame seeds. Broil for about 5 minutes, then turn and sprinkle with the remaining sesame seeds. Broil for a further 5 minutes or until they're just cooked. Be careful not to overcook them!

I made this for my Asian g/f and myself,I let it marinate for 15 minutes knowing that would not be enough time,it wasn't,next time I will let it marinate for atleast an hour to improve the flavor.
