Ready in 45 minutes
Mix butter and sugar in an electric mixer. Add vanilla.
Sift flour and salt together. Add to butter and sugar in mixer and mix.
Place on floured surface and flatten. Wrap in saran wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350.
Roll dough to 1/2 thick and cut with cookie cutter. Put on ungreased cookie sheet with silpat adn bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden.
rcurby07 1y agoThese were great ! Came out golden brown & crispy as yew please . I did tweak the recipe just a bit by adding the zest of one orange. Lovely !
instantteen 2y agoPlus: simple, few ingredients, tasted pretty good! Minus: Dough was a bit too crumbly making shaping it difficult. For some reason some if them came out real well and some came out flattened and softer.

Bexolivia 4y agoRecipe works well for me. I divided the recipe in half cause I didn't need that many cookies and it came out great. I added a egg wash and sugar crystals to tops of cookies for decoration.
