Suggest a better descriptionCream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in flour. Dough will be crumbly at first, work by hand until dough becomes pliable. Chill about 25-30 minutes, not several hours as stated before. Divide dough in half. On ungreased cookie sheet, Pat each half into a 7-inch circle. With a fork, prick each mounted deeply to make 16 pie-shaped wedges.
Or on a floured surface, roll dough 1/4" - 1/2" inch thick & cut into 2 1/2 inch strips or with a 3/4" cutter. Prick center of each cookie with a fork. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 300°F about 30 minutes. Cool slightly and remove from pan.
