fostersboxThis is most assuredly NOT shortening bread. Why do I say this? Because it does not contain SHORTENING! "Butter: No Substitute" means this is a recipe for "Shortbread", not "Shortening Bread". What's the difference? Shortening bread is what the poor made, Short Bread is what the rich made.
