A very simple soup recipe for people who don't really like to cook.
Melt butter and add all the ingredients to coat. Add water to level desired and boil until the veg are tender. Add salt and pepper. Just before serving add a package of cream.
Karin would rather spend time with her animals than in the kitchen and it is almost true that she can't cook - this is one of about five dishes she makes. There is almost always basil in the garden so I would add about 5 chopped basil leaves on top for taste and garnish. You can buy two sizes of cartoon cream at the local market and it is good in coffee and handy to have to make soups and sauces. What's that they say - butter and cream makes everything taste good. Squash is normally available on the farm and it is handy to have lots of receipes available on how to cook it.
