The All American Sloppy Joe. You do not need a can of Manwich to put dinner on the table tonight!
Cook Ground beef. I buy 1.5 pound packages of ground beef, but a 1 pound package will work just as well. Add salt and pepper to ground beef while cooking. When the ground beef is halfway done cooking add the chopped onion. Drain Ground beef. Once drained return to pan and add in 1 clove of minced garlic. You can add more garlic if you like. Cook the meat and garlic mixture a few minutes until the garlic softens. Next add in the ketchup and brown sugar. I would suggest adding a little at a time. I usually just throw some in and do not measure but I would suggest starting off with 1/4 cup ketchup and a 1/4 cup brown sugar. Then add in the vinegar and worcestershire sauce. I usually do not add vinegar, but sometimes it is nice to cut down on the sweetness the brown sugar adds. I like my sloppy joes sweet so I add quite a bit of brown sugar, but what makes this recipe great is that you can add as much as you like.
