Ready in 10 hours
You can add more sour cream if you wish, and a bay leaf or herb of your choice.
Combine 1/2 cup flour, the salt, pepper and toss with stew to coat thoroughly. Place in Crock Pot; stir in onion and mushrooms.
Add beef broth , wine, dijon, Worcestershire; stir well. Cover and cook on low setting for 8-10 hours. Before serving, combine sour cream with 1/4 cup flour; stir into slow cooker. Serve stroganoff with hot cooked rice or noodles.

claudegbeaudoin 3y agoNear the end of the cooking, I had to add a little more flour to thicken the sauce a little.
Kimberlykjw 3y agoI couldn't even eat it. The flour caked up at the bottom of my slow cooker and burnt. Guess I should have paid more attention to it as it cooked. I will try this recipe again but I will add a thickener closer to the end. Sad I couldn't eat it.
Huminbrd56 4y agoWe just tried this recipe. Very tasty! I added paprika, sprinkled over top each plate. I used Angus chuck stew beef, and it was tender and falling apart after only seven and a half hours.
bhuber 4y agoThis recipe is great! Nothing more than that needs to be said. I love it over rice best.
mikeb5984 5y agoWe used sirloin steak cut into strips about 1" X 2" X 1/2" thick and browned before putting them in the crock pot. We cooked for 9 hours and it came out very good. Meat was tender, sauce was thick and savory. We'll do it again.
ClassyMom619 6y agoI will make this again, but cut down on the ingredients a bit. Was a little too creamy for our liking.
