Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue
"Good slow cooker recipes are few and far between in my opinion, but I love the good ones and this one is a keeper! This makes delicious sandwiches. I omitted the onion, added about 1/2 teaspoon of liquid smoke and served on Kings Hawaiian Buns with a dash of pepper sauce. This would be a great meal for a crowd because it makes a lot. LOVE this recipe!"
1. Place chicken into slow cooker. In medium bowl, combine sauce, dressing, sugar, and Worc. sauce -- mix well and pour over chicken. Sprinkle onion over sauce.
2. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours. Take chicken out of sauce and shred with a fork. (Before putting chicken back in -- The sauce was a little thin so I added 1 or 2 tablespoons of flour and mixed with a wire wisk to avoid lumps. This thickened it just enough). Put chicken back in with sauce and mix well. The shredded chicken helps to soak up some of the sauce so it's not too runny. Turn to low for another 1-2 hours.

Jp4 1 year agoWe loved this recipe. I used a 28oz. bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's in this recipe and it turned out great. This would be an easy recipe to make for a crowd.

Chisox 2 years agoCooked it today. Wish you would have said the amount of barbeque sauce. I did my best to compensate but I needed to compensate for the Italian brown sugar and whatever. It was good but I need to know how much barbecue sauce. Thanks for the recipe::'
