A Sunday Dinner
Put beef broth, mushrooms and wheat flour in a small sauce pan and heat, stiring frequently intil gravy thickens. Pour gravy inti a slow cooker ane set on high for 8 hours.
Peel potatoes, onions and carrots, quarter and place in slow cooker. Quarter celery and place iin slow cooler along with apple pieces, add salt and pepper for taste.
On a large plate sprinkle evenly with garlic, celery salt, pepper, chilt powder and bacon bits spices.
Next, roll the roast around on the plate to evenly coat all surfaces. Pound spices into roast,
Gently place the roast in the slow cooker. The roast should br on top of the vegetables. cover slow cooker and sit back and watch the football game.
When time is up put all on a large platter, slice roast and serve a wonderful tasty meal

georgeross 7y agoSteve, YUour recipe is cooking in my crock pot as I am writing. The few things I did different was add mushrooms and brown gravy mis to your marinade. Added 3 quartered potatoes, onion, and carrets. One pealed, cored and sliced big res apple. I can not wait until it is done to try it. Thanks for your great work.
tdcotton 7y agoRed wine vinegar worked very well as a substitution for the red wine called for - my 4 year old son asked for seconds!
