Ready in 30 minutes
Simple, elegant appetizer.

Slice baguette thinly. Evenly space on cookie sheet which has been covered with aluminum foil. Drizzle with olive oil. Toast in the oven until just brown.
Remove from oven, and place 1-inch square chunks of smoked salmon on each.
Meanwhile mix lemon juice in with cream cheese, then stir in chopped dill. Add salt and pepper to taste. Fill piping bag (or pastry syringe) with cream cheese and top each crostini with dab of flavored cream cheese. Add chopped chives for garnish.

princessfiona 8y agoThis was great! I used minced red onions in place of the chives and added more lemon juice. Delish!!
stevemur 10y agoforgot to mention -- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar mixed in with the cream cheese is also a nice add.

stevemur 10y agoMade these again tonight for a party. Simple, delicious. Suggested wine pairing: a chilled Savignon Blanc or champagne.
