sugar cookie with cinnamon

"These snickerdoodles were melt in your mouth good! They had crisp edges, chewy centers, were buttery and sugary (though not overly sweet), had a perfect balance of flavors, and were addictive enough to make me reach for a second. I personally prefer a slightly crisper cookie, so if you go with the high end of the baking time, you will get a crisper cookie, while the low end will get you a chewier one. Either way, these are great."


1 1/2 c Sugar
1/2 c Butter; softened
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Eggs
2 3/4 c Flour
1 tsp Cream of tartar
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1/4 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Sugar
2 tsp Cinnamon

Original recipe makes 4



Heat oven to 400?. In large bowl combine first 4 ingredients; blend well. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Blend well. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Combine 2 Tbsp sugar and cinnamon. Roll balls in sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 min or until set. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.?

I think there was too much flour as my dough was very flakey...not sure if that's how it was supposed to be.

Very easy recipe, makes yummy chewy cookie but very easy to overcook.
