Spaghetti w/ Meat Sauce

3/4 box Spaghetti noodles or Angelhair pasta
1 cup sausage (link); sliced
1 lb lean ground beef
1 white onion; chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon McCormick Italian Seasoning (to taste)
1 pkg mushrooms; sliced
1 jar favorite spaghetti sauce
1 can stewed tomatos; chopped
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese; grated

In a big stock pot bring water to a boil and add your noodles, careful not to overcook. In a seperate pan brown your sausage, beef and onions. Once onions have softened, add the minced garlic, mushrooms and Italian herbs, (drain off grease if needed). Once your noodles are done, drain and place in a serving bowl. In the stock pot add your stewed tomatos, meat mixture and favorite jar of spaghetti sauce. Simmer on low for 20 minutes so that flavors blend together. Once you are ready to serve place noodles on plate first, add a scoop of sauce and top with fresh grated Cheddar cheese. Serve with galic bread and a green side salad.

Instead of using stewed tomatoes for this recipe, try using vine ripe tomatos.

Substitute roasted tomatoes for stewed. It's easy, just cut in half and place on cookie sheet. Bake on 350 degrees until soft.

While your noodles are cooking, roast tomatoes instead of using stewed!

Season your meat with Italian Herbs!

This recipe also can be converted to a baked spaghetti version. Simply place cooked noodles in a baking dish, layer your meat sauce on top, add cheese and pop into oven until cheese is melted. Great on a cold day. [I posted this recipe.]
