Classic oatmeal cookies with just a little added sweetness.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place raisins, water and honey in small saucepan and bring to a boil stirring to dissolve honey.
Remove saucepan from heat and let sit for 20 minutes
Drain liquid from raisins and set raisins aside to cool.
In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Set aside.
In a separate large bowl Beat butter and sugars together until creamy.
Beat in eggs one at a time to butter mixture. Add vanilla and mix well.
Add flour mixture to butter mixture a bit at a time beating until thoroughly combined.
Stir in oats, chocolate chips and raisins by hand until evenly mixed
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool 5 minutes on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack to continue cooling
