Many years back, about 26, I worked at The Frosty Jug. A car hop restaurant in Dickson, Tennessee. It's gone now. But I was a cook there. I came up with this & Mable Crutis put it on the menu. It was a big hit, could not make them fast enough.

"This is now in my favorites folder! Next time I am putting the chips on the side instead of on the bottom. It was good that way but some of the chips got a little soggy. That did not really matter though because it was so good and it was very easy to make."

Very easy to make. The Doritos give it a nice flavor over regular corn chips.

I don't know why I never thought to use chili with taco salad, but it was a fun addition! My 'You don't win friends with salad' hubby LOVED this.

I love this. The only changes I make are warm Kidney Beans instead of the chili and I also make some guacamole to go with it.
