This recipe has been a family favorite for years. I have used fresh or canned tomotoes. It also freezes well.
Brown meat in small amount of oil. then add vegetables cut into 1/2" strips and tomatoes cut into 1/6 wedges. Boil together for 45 minutes to 1 hour or slow cook.
Serve with warm tortillas for wrapping and refried beans.
Can be pressure cooked for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. Limit water.
Can also be made in a slow cooker. Add only 1/2 cup water.
