Ready in 45 minutes
Try this Strawberry Pretzel Salad recipe, or contribute your own.
Mix pretzels and margarine. Pat into a 9x13 baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Cool completely. Cream sugar and cream cheese until well blended. Fold in cool whip. Spread over the pretzel layer.
Chill until firm.
Add boiling water to the jello. Stir in strawberries, still frozen. Mixture should become thickened, but if not, chill until slightly thick. Spread over the cheese mixture. Chill until set. If desired, crushed pretzels may be sprinkled on the top. Cut into squares to serve.

elementsbb 1y agoThis was so delicious and was gobbled up quickly! We made a few alterations so the recipe is definitely flexible. We used Daiya cream cheese (vegan), organic soy butter, and Tru Whip (which is packaged just like Cool Whip, but I can't tolerate the taste of Cool Whip). I have a crazy sweet tooth, but we reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup and I think it could be reduced even more. If fresh strawberries are available, I prefer thinly slicing those rather than using frozen berries.
