This is fantastic!

"Its a great recipe wthat was really easy to make, the pineapples I think is what made it so terriffic. The children I was looking after loved helping to make it up and of course eating it was the best part. Keeping infavorites."

Ingredients

Are you making this?
2 cups Pretzels; crushed
0.75 cup Butter; melted
3 cup Sugar
0.75 cup Sugar
8 ounces Cream cheese
8 ounce Cool Whip
6 ounce Strawberry gelatin
2 cups Water; boiling
16 ounce Frozen strawberries
8 ounce Pineapple; canned
1 Whipped cream

Servings

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

For the crust, mix the pretzels, butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar.

Press this mixture into a 9 by 13-inch pan and bake for 7 minutes. Set aside and allow to cool.

In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and 3/4 cup of sugar. Fold in the whipped topping, and spread over the cooled crust. Refrigerate until well chilled.

In a small bowl, dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water, and allow to cool slightly. Add the strawberries and pineapple, and pour over the cream cheese mixture.

Refrigerate until serving time.

To serve, cut slices and serve with whipped cream, if desired.

Notes

This could be lightened up quite a bit by using sugar free gelatin, fat free cream cheese and whipped topping and splenda. Might even be able to get away with less butter.
