This breakfast toast can also be used as a dessert.
Make egg mixture for French Vanilla Toast from my recipes. Heat oil in nonstick skillet. Dip bread as you would French toast. Place one slice egg-dipped bread into the oil, in center of bread place 1 teaspoon apple pie filling (if using peach filling add 1 cube of cream cheese), then dip another bread into egg mixture and place atop bread and filling in skillet. Allow the first bread to brown, then flip to cook the second slice of bread. When bread is toasted on each side of top and bottom, remove from heat and slice stuffed toast in half. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Be cautious if using peach pie filling and cream cheese as the melted cheese can burn. You can also make this on a sandwich maker; however, if you do, make certain you place cream cheese on either side of the bread and not the center because when you close the sandwich maker it will automatically cut toast in half.
