Simple and delicious

"Just made for Sunday dinner today, I did not have green onions, substituted finely chopped shallots and added chopped parsley. Of course I had to sample and was very good although stuffing was a little dry."

Ingredients

Are you making this? 
24 inches ; diameter
1/4 cup green onion; diced
1 clove garlic; minced
1/4 cup margarine or butter
2/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup shredded cheddar; OR 2 oz. Crumbled bleu cheese

Preparation

Wash and drain mushrooms. Remove stems and dice enough stem up to make 1 cup of content. In a medium saucepan, cook diced stems, onion, and garlic in margarine or butter until they are tender. Stir in bread crumbs and cheese.

Spoon mixture into each mushroom cap and arrange onto a 15x10x1-inch pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes, or until they are heated through enough.

Pretty good I omitted the blue cheese and added crab. Great for my super bowl party but they were a little rich for some.
