Suggest a better descriptionCook manicotti shells as directed on package. Set aside. Brown meat in skillet with onion and garlic. Drain off all pan drippings when meat is cooked. Add tomato paste, water and seasonings. Simmer over medium-low heat while preparing the filling. In mixing bowl, combine all "stuffing" ingredients and mix well. Rinse shells in cold water and fill with cheese mixture. Pour 2 cups of meat/sauce mixture in the bottom of the baking dish. Set filled manicotti shells seam side down on top of meat sauce. Top shells with remaining meat sauce. cover pan with aluminum foil and back at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Serve with bread sticks and tossed salad.
