Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

this resembles a teriyaki chicken but for me, it was easier and better.


1 tbsp Brown Sugar
2 tbsp Honey
1/4 Soy sauce
3 tsp fresh ginger root; chopped
2 tsp garlic; chopped
2 tbsp hot sauce; (Sriracha Rooster Hot Chile Sauce is best)
salt and pepper; to taste
4 skinless boneless chicken breast halves; cut into 1/2 inch strips
1 tbsp Vegetable oil

Original recipe makes 4



1. cut the chicken, lightly salt and pepper and dredge in flour

2 heat oil and brown chicken pieces

3. while chicken is browning, mix together brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and hot sauce in small bowl.

4. Pour the sauce over chicken and simmer uncovered until the sauce thickens.

5. Serve over rice

I put a bit too much heat in it.. next time I'll tone down the sriracha sauce. Other than it taking our breath away, it was very good.

Too hot. Should have added less hot sauce than called for.

This was quick, easy and delicious! The sauce is sweet with just the right amount of tangy hotness. The entire family loved it!
