This is a recipe that my mom tweaked from the back of a steak sauce bottle WAY back. Pineapple and bell pepper are perfect compliments to the meatballs. We usually serve over sticky rice with a simple veggie side. Yum!
Lightly mix beef, 3 tbsp A-1, egg, bread crumbs, garlic, and salt. Form into meatballs. Brown well in oil. Drain.
Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT cornstarch, water, and pepper strips. Simmer covered for 5 minutes.
Combine cornstarch and water. Stir into the heated mixture. Add green pepper. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.
