"I love this recipe. I love that there is no salt so that I can control how much I put in. I usually salt the meat and onions while I am cooking them. I also like that I can control the heat. Best of all no MSG!
Made this for three teenage boys who are self proclaimed taco "aficionados." They liked it better than any package or restaurant version. "

I place mine in an empty, large chili powder shaker. Perfect size for shaking into scrambled eggs in the morning! Delicious! photo by moomasters moomasters

We've always used McCormick and with a half tsp each of salt, cayenne, black pepper and sugar (helps caramelize to the meat ;) ) this is right on par with the package. I've been using this recipe for well over a year now and refuse to go back to the packaged stuff!

This tastes good but it is somewhat bland to my husband and I. Our 9 year old son loves this and gives it 2 thumbs up however,

I don't know what recipe the other reviewers have been going off of -this recipe is horrible! There is no salt in the recipe. You need at least 1/2 teaspoon salt per pound of meat. The balance of spices is also off, it tastes wrong and overly of Paprika and cumin!

This is really good. I use tablespoons instead of the teaspoons and store it in a pint jar.

I will definitely start using THIS and NEVER another packaged mix with MSG or anything else that I can't pronounce in it! This tastes almost exactly the same but calls for NO salt so make sure to season your meat first. We had it with beef and liked it very much.
