Try this Taco Seasoning Mix recipe, or contribute your own.
Preparation: Combine all ingredients together, and mix well. This should be stored in an airtight container for up to six months. Use 3 tablespoons of mix and add one cup of water, to one pound of ground beef.

ILoveMyBaker 1y agoExcellent! I won't buy the overpriced package stuff any longer. I used both smoked paprika and regular paprika (1/2 of the full measurement each) to add a little more complexity. My family devoured it! I will never need those little packages any longer. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
moomasters 2y agoWe've always used McCormick and with a half tsp each of salt, cayenne, black pepper and sugar (helps caramelize to the meat ;) ) this is right on par with the package. I've been using this recipe for well over a year now and refuse to go back to the packaged stuff!

Houdai 2y agoI love this recipe. I love that there is no salt so that I can control how much I put in. I usually salt the meat and onions while I am cooking them. I also like that I can control the heat. Best of all no MSG! Made this for three teenage boys who are self proclaimed taco "aficionados." They liked it better than any package or restaurant version.
SenseiHeidi 2y agoI don't know what recipe the other reviewers have been going off of -this recipe is horrible! There is no salt in the recipe. You need at least 1/2 teaspoon salt per pound of meat. The balance of spices is also off, it tastes wrong and overly of Paprika and cumin!
