An easy mix of ground beef, cream of mushroom soup and spices, served over pasta, rice or even bread. Was introduced to me by Wade Roland (origin of the name) but has been expanded since to include more ingredients.
1 - Boil water and add pasta and cook. Drain and set aside when done.
2 - In a large pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
3 - Add onions and mushrooms
4 - Stir in spices and cook until the onions are semi-transparent.
5 - Stir in cream of mushroom soup and simmer and stir until the soup is hot and fully integrated into the mix. Note that the soup color usually changes from off-white to light reddish-brown, depending on the amount of chili powder added.
6 - If desired, add frozen corn and stir occasionally until corn is hot.
7 - Serve over pasta, rice or bread (like a "Sloppy Joe")
Experiment with the spices: some like it hot, some like it mild. Play with the pasta volume to stretch it further. Serve with salad for a more balanced diet. Corn changes the taste but adds a vegetable value.
