Suggest a better descriptionAlmond crunch topping: In a small saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water. Cook until syrup turned a light golden brown, about 4 minutes. Add toasted nuts; pour at once onto a buttered baking sheet. Cool.
When cool, break up and coarsely crush in a food processor or blender.
Pie: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and sour cream until smooth. Stir in vanilla and 1/4 cup almond crunch topping. Place 2/3 of peach slices in graham cracker crust. Spread cheese mixture over fruit. Sprinkle with remaining crunch topping. Arrange remaining peaches on top. Refrigerate until serving time.
Note: For convenience, crushed English toffee candies may be substituted for almond crunch topping.
