Try this Tossed Garden Salad recipe, or contribute your own.
Cut lettuce in 1-inch cubes. Chill, peel, and cut tomatoes into wedges. Cut onions into cubes. Peel and slice cucumber. Slice radishes. Chop spinach leaves and cut chives very fine. Place all on a bed of salad greens. Season with salt and French dressing. Yield: 6 to 8 servings. From
webtexan 10y agoI grew up with this wonderful, basic tossed salad. Only thing I do differently is add some sliced avocado when I have it around and I've recently discoverd Raspberry Vinegrette Dressing. Yummy! Throw in some drained black beans, corn and a cup full of crushed corn or tortilla chips and you have another terrific variation. Whatever favorite dressing you prefer, this is the Basic best salad.
