This is one of my favorite dishes from my childhood.

"CWW: Mack (14 yr old) used bread crumbs in place of chips, and added lots of Parmesan cheese in the mix and on top with the bread crumbs (chips). Might also be good to add some onions or shallots and celery next time."

Ingredients

2 cans Flaked White Tuna
4 cups Egg Noodles
1 can Cream of Celery or Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 cup Milk
1 cup Water
1/2 cup Frozen Peas
1/2 cup Frozen Corn
1/2 cup carrots; sliced
1 bag Regular Ripple Chips
2 teaspoons Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper; (optional)

Servings  

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F.

Cook egg noodles in salted boiling water 8-10 minutes until al dente.

Mix together soup, milk and water in a casserole dish. Add the egg noodles, peas, corn, carrots, and tuna and mix well.

Mix the salt, pepper and cayenne pepper and sprinkle evenly on the mixture.

Crush chips with your hands over the mixture and sprinkle evenly with paprika.

Bake for 1 hour and allow to cool before serving.

I added Parmesan cheese. Wasn't dry at all and my whole family, including my two year old son loved it!

My husband wanted a tuna casserole in the new dish my boys gave me for Mother's Day... Was a disastrous voyage, very dry and tasteless.
