This is the best baked beans recipe you will find. These beans are sweet, yet so savory and your family will love them!!
First of all, these beans can be cooked in a 13 x 9 inch glass pan or in a crock-pot. Place onions in with the ground sausage while browning. Drain the sausage and mix it together with both cans of beans. Add the chopped green bell pepper and brown sugar and place in either a 13 x 9 pan or the crock-pot. If you are using the pan, you will need to bake the beans on 350 for about 45 minutes. If using the crock-pot, turn them on high for about 2 hours, and then on low until you serve them.
