Ready in 45 minutes
Good ol home cooking!
1. Melt thebutter in a large skillet. Add the pork chops and slowly brown on both sides. Remove the chops from the skillet and drain off fat.
2. Combine the sauerkraut, onion, apples, and sugar in a bowl. Pour this mixture into the skillet and place the pork chops on top of it. Cover and simmer about 45 minutes or until tender.
srf 6y agoThis recipe was perfect with smashed potatoes. I did increase the amount of sauerkraut by 2 cups since I was feeding 5 sauerkraut lovers. Will be doubling the recipe next time for even more delicious leftovers.
charlieocarm 8y agoRecipe is quite easy to make and, along with mashed potatoes or boiled new potatoes, makes a very satisfying Old World dinner.
