"I was amazed how simple and quick this recipe was to make. I tweaked it a little and used crisco instead of butter. I also added an extra tsp of vanilla, and a tsp of milk to thin it out. The end result was a smooth and creamy mixture. Thumbs up."

1 tsp. Vanilla
1 lb. powdered sugar; sifted

Original recipe makes 4

Servings

Preparation

Smooth and creamy frosting made from scratch, with love.

Beat together butter, cream cheese and vanilla with electric mixer until smooth. Continue mixing and gradually add powdered sugar.

If too thick, thin frosting with milk a tsp. at a time to desired consistency.

Notes

Nothings better than homemade!

Very easy and simple. Next time I will use about half the sugar, as it's a little too sweet. Pretty foolproof, though.

Tried this recipe today on a strawberry box cake tweaked a little. It was really good....The only thing was I didn't know how many cups equal a pound so I used 2 cups of powered sugar it was just a little too thin. Next time I will use only one cup.
