Easy soup, freezes and reheats well.
Add flavoured soup mix with a cup of plain soup mix and 9 cups of water into pot and bring to the boil.
Turn off heat and leave mix overnight to soak.
The next day add chopped vegetables such as carrot, kumara, potato, celery, canned whole corn or any other vegetables you like.
Add water and mix to get the desired thickness.
Simmer for an hour.
Adjust flavor by adding stock, salt and pepper.
If you have extra left over soup, in mild or cold climates, it can be left on the stovetop in a pot and brought to the boili once every 24 hours to keep. When reheating, heat soup slowly, stirring constantly, or it will burn on the bottom.
Can also add pasta or noodles for a different flavour.
