Suggest a better descriptionAdd thered pepper flakes to thevodka and let sit overnight. Melt butter in a large sauce pot. Add thevodka, straining the red pepper flakes out. Simmer for 10 minutes (a true simmer). Add 1 can crushed tomatoes from can. Use food mill to add the next 2 cans. Bring to a true simmer for 15 minutes. Add the cream and bring it back to a simmer. Finally, add the basil and cheese. Do NOT let it come to boil. Stir and serve over al dente pasta.
