Tie cinnamon sticks, cloves and allspice together in cheesecloth. Combine juices and sugar. Simmer 15 minutes with spices. Float fruit slices on top. Remove bag of spices. Add vodka or rum, if desired. Serve hot. Yield: 8 to 12 servings. POLLY BREWER (MRS. LARRY) From

Lexx7007This was a success at thanksgiving this year. I did change some things a little. I didn't have whole allspice, but the ground kind so used 1/4 tps, 4 cinnamon sticks, and 2 qt apple cider. I also had rum set aside to keep it non alcoholic and those that wanted it added a little to their glass. Everyone loved it both ways.3y ago
