2 lb Ground beef
29 oz Tomato sauce
29 oz Can kidney beans; with
29 oz Can pinto beans; with
1 c Diced onion; (1 medium onion)
1/2 c Diced green chili; (2
1/4 c Diced celery; (1 stalk)
3 md Tomatoes; chopped
2 ts Cumin powder
3 tb Chili powder
1 1/2 ts Black pepper
2 ts Salt
2 c Water

Original recipe makes 1 Serving



Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain off fat. Using a fork, crumble the cooked beef into pea-size pieces. In a large pot, combine the beef plus all the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer over low heat.

Cook, stirring every 15 minutes, for 2 to 3 hours.

Note: Try topping this with some freshly grated cheddar cheese and chopped onion. Serves: 12

Still in the pot. Taste Just like Wendy's. I used my own tomatoes I grew in my garden, and my canned tomatoe sauce. My husband loved it, He has been eating it all day.

To be authentic, I left the browned Hamburg sit out over night, then added to the sauce.

I love Wendy's chili and i have to say this recipe is almost exactly like it, only better! Will definitely be making again!

I made this and loved it. Used my tomatoes and tomato sauce that I canned. Tastes just like Wendy's if not better. REALLY!

I've always loved Wendys chili, because I think it's family friendly. This recipe llived up to my expectations. I made the first batch Saturday for lunch with cornbread on the side, and Invited my kids and their families to stay for the meal. IT WAS GONE. Sunday I made another batch and canned it, made four quarts. Yum Yum
