Suggest a better description1. The night before (best this way but not absolutely necessary) ... Remove giblets from chicken, wash and pat the chicken dry.
2. Combine the dried spices in a small bowl, rub all over chicken (put a little inside too).
3. Place chicken in ziploc bag and store overnight in refrigerator.
4. When ready to start cooking, spray slow cooker with cooking spray or use liner.
5. Place quartered onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
6. Place the chicken breast-side down in crock pot.
7. Cook for 1 1/2 hours on high then 3 hours on low or until the chicken is falling off the bone.
