Makes 4 full waffles on a waffle iron.
Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, combine egg, milk, and oil. Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened; batter should be lumpy.
Pour about 1 cup batter onto a hot, lightly greased waffle iron. Cook per waffle iron instructions (mine takes about 3-4 minutes). Makes about 4 waffles
For a lighter waffle, you can separate the eggs and beat the whites to a stiff peak. Add these after all other ingredients have been mixed.
Use a little less baking powder if it is fresh.
